Here it is the middle of May and summer is just around the corner. As you may know, the Auxiliary Board takes these next few months for reflection and meets again in September. Looking back, though, your Auxiliary has been busy purchasing equipment and providing four scholarships all to the tune close to $13,000. Come Fall the Boardwill do its best to provide any assistance to the hospital. Can’t say enough to our members for their financial support. Incidentally, membership has grown this year helping to provide about $9,000 for equipment to the hospital. Next year, the Board is aiming for membership growth of 15% plus. As a member you get two luncheons with speakers from the community and the knowledge that you are helping provide medical equipment to your community hospital.
April 12th was the Auxiliary’s Spring Luncheon and General Meeting. Eric Estes, President/CEO Boulder Dam Credit Union, was our Featured Guest Speaker. He spoke to a group of about 40 attendees about Credit Union events, phone fraud, elder financial abuse, educating us of situations that families and friends should be concerned with. He was very much appreciated and we thank him for accepting the Board’s invitation. Also, many thanks to BCH CEO Tom Maher for his explaining and detailing hospital items of special interest to the Auxiliary.
Two excellent speakers. Great food such as Dutch Apple Pie, Blueberry Pie Mandarin Orange Salad along with Chicken or Roast Beef Croissants were prepared by Ann King and staff. Deluxe and delicious. Hmmm good!
